TT-33 Tokarev

I collaborated with my friend, Luke O’Neill, for the creation of a photorealistic TT-33 Tokarev pistol.

The Idea

The idea for this project was to create photorealistic texturing for a pistol asset that could be rigged and animated in a hyper-realistic or live action media.

Technology

Luke O'Neill modelled the pistol, magazine, and bullets in Maya. I made the textures in Substance Painter, set up the shader network and turntable in Maya, rendered with Renderman, and then composited in After Effects.

My Role

I was responsible for UV unwrapping, texturing, setting up the shader network, and rendering out still frames and a turntable of the final surfaced piece.
